About this recipe

Nothing says summer like freshly cut watermelon and an ice-cold craft beer. Ever thought of putting the two together? Well, we’ve done the hard work for you. These makeshift popsicles are the perfect add-on whether you’re hosting a summer soiree or a BBQ cookout in the yard.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. watermelon, cut into cubes
  • 12 oz. beer (pale ale, wheat or IPA)

Get Cooking

Step 1

Place the cubes of watermelon into your bowl, and pour the beer over to soak each and every piece thoroughly. Let it sit for one, maybe two hours.


Step 2

Remove watermelon from the beer and start placing them on your skewers. Place skewers on a plate or platter and let sit in the freezer for around two hours.


Step 3

Enjoy! Sunshine requested but not required.
